Personal & Creative Storytelling
“Facts lead to knowledge, but stories lead to wisdom.” – Dr. Rachel Remen. This session will use the short film “Ebb & Flow: Storytelling for Cancer Survivors” and the personal experiences of two cancer survivors to explore the idea of storytelling as it relates to cancer. Facilitated by Mike Lang (Survive & Thrive Expeditions/University of Calgary) & Ben O’Clair
Cancer and its treatment impacts one’s life path and getting back on track (heck, figuring out what track you want) can be difficult! This will be an interactive workshop session using coaching strategies. Life coaching has been useful to help clarify and execute personal, career, relationship, and recreational goals. Facilitated by Kathy Ball-Toncic, CPCC (262 Group)
Managing Cancer-Related Fatigue
In this session, we will review the multiple etiologies for fatigue in the setting of cancer treatment and survivorship. We will discuss both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic management strategies. Facilitated by David P. Yuppa, MD (Dana-Farber/Harvard Medical School)
